Waymark Genealogy

Gift Certificates

Our Gift Certificates make an ideal and flexible Christmas or birthday present and can be used in full or part-payment for any of the research services that Waymark Genealogy provides.

How the gift certificate is 'spent' will be entirely up to the recipient; we are very happy to discuss different potential projects with them and to make suggestions as appropriate.

You can decide on the value of any certificate, with the reassurance that any Gift Certificate is valid for a full two years.

Gift Certificate

If an intended purchase is for a higher amount than the face value of the Gift Certificate, the difference can be made up with an additional payment. If it is for a lower amount, then the balance will be transferred to a second Gift Certificate with an expiry date one year later than the first.

You can consolidate multiple Gift Certificate balances into a single payment amount.

Gift Certificates ordered through our website can be delivered by email to an email address you specify at the time of order.  Alternatively, a Gift Certificate printed in colour onto card, can be posted to you or directly to the recipient by Royal Mail First Class post at no extra charge.

Terms and Conditions

The purchaser of a Waymark Genealogy Gift Certificate is entitled to a 14-day 'cooling off' period from the date of purchase with a full refund, less any printing and postage costs already incurred, provided that the Gift Certificate has not been committed to pay for research work already commenced.

Any payment returned to the original purchaser will be refunded in the same form as it was received. For example, if the purchaser paid for the Gift Certificate using a debit or credit card, the payment will be refunded to the same debit or credit card.

If you wish to request the cancellation of a Gift Certificate that you have purchased, this can be done via email.

Waymark Genealogy are not responsible if a Gift Certificate is used without permission - no replacement or refund will be provided.  If a Gift Certificate is lost, destroyed or stolen and details of it can be matched against an unused certificate in our records then it will, of course, be honoured.  When ordering a Gift Certificate to be sent via email, please ensure that the recipient’s email address is correct in order to reduce the risk of loss.

A Waymark Genealogy Gift Certificate can be applied to commissioned research work currently in progress but cannot be used retrospectively as a refund against work already completed and paid for.

Any Gift Certificate balance can be used as part-payment for another research project or put towards the purchase of another Gift Certificate but it cannot be exchanged for cash.

A Gift Certificate cannot be sold to any third party without our express written consent, which may be subject to any conditions which we impose.
