In From The Cold Project

William Butler
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission does a fantastic job at looking after the graves and memorials of 1.7 million service men and women killed during the two world wars.

With such a large number of casualties, there will be occasions when names are omitted from the lists of those submitted to the CWGC, most of these names resulting from the First World War.

The In From the Cold Project works to gather the evidence needed to support the cases of the casualties that it believes should have official CWGC recognition.

The work of IFCP has resulted in some five thousand men and women now being given official CWGC headstones or being listed on the relevant memorials.

Waymark Genealogy is very happy to be able to support this project by contributing to research on individual cases.
